I have a Droid 3 and when I log onto the Market with my PC, with the Droid attached with a USB cable, the internet says the app is downloaded, but it never shows up on the Droid. A couple of weeks ago, I downloaded some things and I could see the little object in the very top bar that showed some activity, now I do not get any indication that anything is happening. The website then says, App Installed.

Where can I find the apps?

When you install an app via the android market web UI it doesn't go to your PC, rather it gets installed directly on your android device via your phone's service (the USB connection has nothing to do with installing apps from the android market web UI). You can install apps to the phone from the web UI without the phone being plugged into the PC at all. As far as I know, there is no way to download apps from the web UI directly to your PC.

I understand that I am not downloading them to the PC. I can't see them on the Droid 3, even after the Market says it downloaded them.

Any hints on where to find new apps that have been downloaded from the Market to the Droid 3?

I've encountered this issue once. Opening the market seemed to solve it. As soon as I opened the market (on the phone), they started downloading.

But usually they just start downloading anyway.

You said your phone was plugged into your PC when you tried it? You may have had your internal memory mounted to your PC, in which case apps wouldn't be able to download since your phone wouldn't have access to your memory. That's just my guess.
