A friend turned me onto this, I haven't tried it, but he uses it with his Droid and it seems to work fine:

EDIT: Not sure if that was the correct link, like I said, haven't tried it. But here is the program he told me about, I did a Google search for sources:

well. i haven't seen this app before.
If there is now a way to do it, I'm very concerned for two reasons:
1. Verizon is already talking about using tiered data plans because people are using too much on their data plans, this will really put a spark in their asses.
2. i'm sure people won't be seeding as much.

Either way you need client software to download the "Actual torrent".
I am also concerned about this, aside from the bandwidth problem (which is a substantial one) I think you are opening your phone up to all kinds of bugs, etc.

again i am not talking about the large file i don't want to download that to my phone i am talking about the less than 1MB .torrent file
and you shouldn't need any type of client at all to just downloaded a torrent at least i know i dont on a computer

I see what you mean now, just the torrent link file that links to the trackers.

I had not tried until now, but I can download the torrent files fine. I just D/L 2 of them and they are in my phones download folder. Of course when I click on them, I get the "no applications" error, but they are there.

I have a BT client on my Incredible that works. I've downloaded legal content more than once using it. 
It's called AndTorrent. There is also AndroidTorrent, but I like Andtorrent better. There are a few remote clients for uTorrent and others for your pc or linux machines as well that allow you to search for torrents from your phone and start them on your computer.

Transdroid is an awesome app. Works with an array of clients and easy to setup.

ok i just got banned from my favorite torrent tracker by using these apps. i tried to download an mp4 just to see if it would work, and it did. then i tried to log into my account and it had been disabled! i had to explain to a mod what i did before they enabled it, they were laughing about the fact that i was trying to download a torrent to my phone. so don't download from your favorite private trackers if you must do this. i will be transferring my files via ftp from now on.
