I have been trying to connect my phone to my dad's computer, but since he lacks the drivers, my phone does not realize it's been connected. He does not have internet.

is there anything I can do to connect?

what exactly are you trying to do? transfer files? tether? or just charge your phone? Next question is what OS is on your dad's pc?

I want to tether. i have pdanet on my ally and his computer, but neither seem to know they're connected.
When I try to run Wired Tether, the computer downloads android adb from I don't know where, but it does nothing. If i restart wired tether, it downloads it again.

He is running Windows XP

check this page .. Verizon LG Ally USB Driver Download - LG Cell Phones Blog It has step by step for tethering with PDANet. download the files on your phone then transfer to the pc. Hope this helps ya.

I'll have to do it some other time, i can't even transfer files between my ally and computer. I keep froyo superlite on my phone since sometimes I can mount but not tether, but I don't even have that ability now.
