Root drivers?!?

Doesnt matter what version your on theyre all the same ;)

Just extract and click PCOptions and run it and then click install drivers, then after the config window goes away plug the phone in

im an admirer the ascend is new ground for me.... wanted to make sure... one more thing canci update to 2.2?
 
Yes you can. You can maybe still find the update in the app store, I know the link on the Metro site is dead but I have that too. Its a huge file to download tho. If its still in the Metro app store I'd go with that option.

Here the original 2.2 update that I downloaded off Metro's site months ago but one thing.....I cant remeber for the life of me what you have to do to install it or whats actually in the file and Im not at home on my comp and cant download it and look inside. But one good thing about the Ascend the phone IS unbrickable Ahaha

download the zip file an extract the folder name dload to your sd card and power the phone down, next push and hold vol up, end key and tap power and it will do it's thing, but remember to backup your contacts before upgrading.
 
Duurrr sorry Extract the file to your sd card and do a hard set and it should say "Unpacking Firmware" to do a hard set hold the end and volume up key and tap the power while continuing to hold the vol and end key until the "Unpacking Firmware" comes up and you can release and let it do its thing
