Help Driving me nuts....

Why is it that when I scroll down through my emails it automatically jumps back to the top within a millisecond?? I know there's that tab on the side but I don't want to have to keep my finger on it (so it doesn't jump back to the top) plus it scrolls way too fast. I just want to scroll at my own speed and not have it jump back to the top. Thanks for any help that can be provided!!

If you are holding in a manner that you are touching a different part of the screen with another finger, it could cause this behavior. Also, if you have it set to check for email too frequently, every time it checks, I believe it resorts the inbox.
