Droid 2.1 Limitations

Not to defend anyone but I think it's pertinent to remember that iPhone backlash was largely a result of iFanboyism. Personally I think its all good fun, if I were rich I'd own an iPhone and a Droid and a pre and an N1 and an N900. :)

So we should all be immature little kids and hate a piece of hardware that has done nothing to us? What kind of logic is that?

You people are just as moronic as the PS3 and 360 fanboys. Grow up.

Sorry that I am an adult and don't act like I am 7.

This post seems to contradict itself, no?

And if you really are sick of all of the back-and-forth bickering, please don't add to it by insulting everyone in this thread.

I wasn't insulting everyone in this thread. There were a few people that posted that have brains. I was insulting those people who say, "OMGZ!!11! I hates the IPhone", or those that use names like "ISuck", "IPoop" or any of the other trying-to-be-funny names. It's really pathetic.

I totally understand, the constant put-downs get quite old. I must say in any Android fan's defense, I've tried to have intelligent conversations on the Apple forums with iPhone users and they are worse than anyone I've seen here. I think a lot of the attitude on these forums is just a result of having been exposed to iPhone fanboy drivel for so long, and now there is a device that is at the least on par with the iPhone. So it's a kind of "HA! take that!" to Apple.

On a side note (well, actually on topic), I just read this post, which states that side-by-side the performance of the N1 and the Droid are not noticeably different. With that bit of information, and the upcoming update to 2.1 which will [hopefully] smooth out the lag on the Droid's home screen and browser, I'd have to say the Droid shouldn't have any limitations in 2.1. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
