Root Droid 2 Roms and Themes

Sticky please!
This brings me back to the D1 days, lol.

Sticky this and I will keep my eye out for new things - we need to kick this forum up a notch BAM!

I'm not usually so mono-themeistic, but all you need to know for the D2 where themes are concerned is 928Droid's Black Glass...it is just amazing looking, and he updates regularly.

Just lovin' it. :)

I am switching banks and don't have a CC right now...no bootstrap for me :(
I want my D1 back!
No, not really, but for the ROM stuff - I miss the ease. Switch ROMs and configure homes and apps in under an hour. WELL under an hour :)

I am going through ROM withdrawl

There is a free download of Droid 2 and X Bootloader app...on XDA, I believe.

Got it on the phone, works well for backup thankfully - now to figure out how to ADB for a deodex with no one seeing....

Stock Droids run 2.2.2
I am not sure if the 2.4.5 is a "leak" per se, but it is a ROM.
Bottom line, if you are comfortable "ROMming", give it a shot. Just backup, backup, backup - just in case.

Its listed in the root guide sticky. We are trying to keep the forums as clean as possible and keep stickies to a minimum. Being listed in the current sticky is as good as its going to get. So just keep pming me roms and themes that are available and I will add them.

if I use the super clean version listed here:
-- http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-2-roms/86959-rom-vzw_2-4-5-stars-wars-no-star-wars-clean-super-clean.html ---

will that give me a very simple, well working, very fast device?

What will be losing with that rom? Is it totally tested and error free?

The thought of rooting my phone and loading a rom that is totally clean sort of reminds me a fresh windows install. There's nothing like a fresh install. However, sometimes roms have bugs and what not and I would not trade my stock firmware (even if it is bloated) for something which has errors and may not work correctly.

Input?
