Help droid 3 multiple screen protectors?

Hey so I was wondering, I bought the clear screen protector for my droid 3. I actually thought it was a mirror kind but anyway I wanted to buy a privacy screen protector. Can I put that on top of the old screen protector? Will it still work?

Or will i have to remove the old one and put the new one on?

Remove the old one, clean screen carefully and put the new one on.

That said, I took my first one off because it had a few little scratches in it, put on a new one after not cleaning the screen perfectly. The new one was a real mess then, with tiny bubbles held up by micro-dots and they would not rub out. So I pulled the new one off and didn't replace it at all.

Three months of hard use later, no screen scratches.
