Per a VZW local rep, the D3 has caught VZW off guard, considering they were low key at launch, due to excess D2 inventory they wanted to move first. D3's are getting harder to find at corporate stores.
Seems good word of mouth, price and a really good device are a powerful mix. The Bionic delay also seems to have pushed some past the "tempted" point.
Must admit that after over two weeks of using the device, it has been great (stable a main point). Discovering the D3 also has an FM radio that just needs an app to work with it is butter on an already tasty biscuit

I noticed Motorola/VZW are now showing TV adds for the Droid 3.

Good to hear they're selling well. Should mean good aftermarket support for our phones.
