Root Droid 3 will not root

I had rooted back when I first got the phone. I have played with different roms but chose to go back to stock using Flash+Verizon+DROID+3+OTA+5.6.890+to+phone_psouza4.zip but at some point I lost root access. I have tried both one-click methods and I receive different errors in each but neither will complete.

Any ideas?

Pete's Motorola root doesn't work.
Reflash stock again maybe that's the root problem?

By flashing that script, you lose root. It restores the phone to box stock. Just run Pete's One Click Root again and you'll have root (it works on 5.6.890, it's never failed me). That script DOES NOT have root built it. It's meant to save you and give you a clean slate. Also, if you wanted to go back to stock, Hashcode has a stock 5.6.890 ROM that you could've flashed to maintain root without completely wiping your phone.

After you flash that script, you must go back into settings and re-enable USB Debugging. Connect it with the stock cable, have debugging enabled, and then start Pete's. Hit root and let it go. It should be fine.
