Help droid 3 zip install

Was wondering if anybody knew how to install a zip file in recovery mode on rooted droid 3. When I get into the bootlader theres no install option.

You don't go to the bootloader for recovery.

To get into stock recovery you have power off your phone then power it back on by pressing and holding the letter X button on the keyboard along with the power button until you see a little android in a middle of a triangle with a exclamation point. Then you have to press BOTH the up and down volume rocker buttons at the same time to access the recovery menu.

Also, please be aware that the only type of zip file you can update through stock recovery is an official OTA. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT attempt to install any other type of update zip, such as ones designed to mod your phone. They will fail and possibly brick your phone. You've been warned.
