Root Droid Altonus ICS ROM

It should be working, but if you can't I can send out a fix, no one really send out any bugs to me so I didn't know it wasn't working for other's. Can you PM me exactly what was going on?
 
It can't see satellites. I tried the "GPS Status" app and I put the phone on my dashboard as I drove home last night. It couldn't see a single satellite.
 
Hmm. It might be hardware. I restored Froyo and GPS still does not work.

It worked a year ago when I was still using this phone. Odd.
 
It's not a big deal to me. This was mostly just a little exercise since I'm scared to install a new ROM on my Bionic which I depend on. The main thing I would want GPS for would be for mapping apps, which won't work without data service (to get maps) which this phone no longer has.

There are some apps that use GPS that make sense when close to WiFi, like Layar, but not a priority for me.
 
Tru, and I'm sure any ICS based or JB based Roms for the Bionic will have working GPS, because it's alot newer than the OG
 
Hey I hav noticed that kfazz has a JB ROM for the og as well have you 2 tried going in together to make this ROM the best or is this something you decided to go solo on ?
 
I used his default kernel and tweaked it a bit to make it less of a resource hog, but other than that we're going solo. Lol reminds me of a song... great.. now I have jason derulo stuck in my head

That's too funny!

I just wish I could get this to run a little smoother like the gingerbread does... I really don't add much to it either... also I noticed that your beats addon doesn't seem to make any sound difference... do I need to enable some sort of scripting to it? I have a set of studio dre pro beats I plug into my droid... they sound great on chevy's ss rom with the dsp manager.. I don't have any other phone to see cm10 or cm9 on.. is DSP manager still included on those versions as well? just curious mainly.. I am waiting for a stable cm9 or cm10 to come out for my lg marquee as well... just hasn't happened... my only hope right now is my OG! :p
 
The SD Card keeps unmounting for some reason. So I have to keep reflashing every time this happens. Also the sholes-keypad.kl folder is empty sometimes after reflashing so the keyboard doesn't work. Any ways to fix these issues? Thanks!

Format your SD card... it might annoy you, but I had to do this. Also, flash the rom until the sholes-keypad.kl sticks, then format. then reboot.
 
Ok, so the phone lasted a while longer then before formatting the SD Card, but when I took out the phone around 12 today it was unmounted with the mount SD Card option grayed out. Anything else you can think of?
 
Maybe this is a stupid question. I have Altonis v2 & Gapps loaded. Nandroid backup made. Ready to pull the trigger but ..... When u format the sdcard in step 13, wont that erase what's on the card, including my nandroid back-up? How can i recover if there's a prob with the ROM?
 
Is it possible to get Xbox smartglass working on this rom? I would love have it working on my Droid to compliment this ics rom for the Droid... please let me know
 
Hi all just a clarification I just flashed this rom on my Droid but camera wont work .. is This problem is with all?
