FWIW,

A buddy of mine was chatting with Verizon (online chat). The verizon person claims they JUST recieved product information about the Bionic (My guess is with the OMAP processors) and its release date of the first week in July.

I have nothing to back this up as its information given to me... but... just keeping the rumor mill flowing...

Just talked to our corp rep as well as a data engineer with VZW and they also stated that "Unless further complications arise it should be out mid july" so that would be inline with what you found out.

Because if something happens during testing and the phone gets delayed, then they look even worse than if they just keep their mouths shut.

Also, they want to sell the phones they already have in stock, not have everyone wait to buy their next flagship device.
