Droid Bionic Keyboard & Home button issues.

My droid bionic was working perfectly prior to me leaning on the screen at work.
Ever since, the home buttons won't press. When i try to type, different letters pop up. There are a few bubbles under my screen protector, and some sort of scratched smudge that will not wipe off. Any suggestions? I wan't to see if there is any fix before i take it in to Verizon.

Try a soft reset (hold down volume up/volume down/power until a menu appears and then disappears). If the problem is still there, take it back to where you bought it.

Just curious ... what does "leaning on the screen at work" mean?

Put the phone on a table. Put your hand on the phone on the table and lean down, putting your weight on the phone. Now you're leaning on your phone.

@OP - I've never used a screen protector and my screen is 100% intact. I'd try removing the screen protector, and seeing if it made a difference. However, I doubt it will.

At this time what you might want to do is not a soft reset, but a full battery pull. Power down the phone and remove the battery from the phone and leave it out for a good 10 minutes (30 if you can afford it). Won't hurt to also remove the microSDCard as well as the SIM. After the wait, replace the battery alone and power up - you should get a message for a missing SIM. If so, power down, remove battery, and replace SIM and power up. Check and see if the phone works then. If it does, you can then insert the microSDcard back in (it will take a few seconds to be recognized. I personally power off the phone before doing this, but the system is designed for hot insertions, meaning that you do not need to power it off).

If the phone is still wonky after this, find a way to make a backup before taking it to VZW - they'll surely want to perform a a factory reset, which will lose all your downloaded apps and settings. A really mean CSR may even opt to format your internal storage, so....

My phone does not use a sim card. But i did a soft reset, so i will try the factory.
Thank you. I am thinking it could be a bubble under the screen protector, so i will take it off. Or, it could be me leaning on it in my pocket at work.

I have also noticed if i press the back too hard it types a button, or does a screen press. It is not rooted. So back to Verizon i am thinking.
