Droid Bionic prob-"can't open new tab"

I get the notification that "can't open new tab..." whenever I try to open an email. For example, I can open an email from Monster.com, but when I click on a link, I get the pop-up. Is there a way around this? I've cleared cache/browsing history....Thanks for any help!
