Droid Charge Battery Life -- Extended Cheap and Easy

I have a Samsung Charge and fundamentally love the phone. Recently, my area (Raleigh NC) upgraded from 3G to 4G. That network is amazing but it came with a great cost .... battery performance of my Droid. Sometimes I would touch the phone and it would be hot from working so hard (when I was doing nothing).

The fix was simple: About 50+% of the time I am in a WiFi hotspot area (i.e.. home, work...). When on WiFi and not Mobile Data, my Droid will go all day on only ~30 - 40% battery (and this is with a lot of use).

To make this east, The Droid Charge has a quick method to turn on/off Mobile Data. Simply brush the notification bar from top to bottom making it full screen. At the top is a button to turn on and off all the battery sucking services.

In the end, I have no reduction in services on my phone but the battery is no longer an issue. For example, today the phone has been going for almost 6 hours and only used ~18% of the battery. I have probably talked 30 minutes on it, read e-mail and several other things.

Hope this helps.
