OK, this is your last hope to try and solve your issues. You're going to have to download a file from my web site...
http://www.toms-world.org/samsung_droid_charge_ED2_firmware.zip
That is a ZIP file containing a ROM that can be flashed to the phone using emergency recovery mode.
1. Download the ROM from the link provided above
2. Rename the file to update.zip and move it to the root of your SD card
3. Restart your phone and at the Samsung logo screen press and hold VOLUME UP + HOME + POWER until you see the Recovery mode screen
4. Use the volume rockers to select SD Card update.zip and press the home button
5. Wait for roughly 5-10 minutes while the update is performed.
6. Phone should auto-reboot and take about 1-2 minutes to complete booting to your homescreen
I don't take responsibility of you bricking your phone. If this works, that's great.
I don't take credit for these instructions, you can find the original instructions over on
EE4 hotfix update being pushed out - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum. I just downloaded the file and placed it on my server which is more reliable than the place mentioned in the thread I linked to.
