Droid embarrasment

I always tell my friends that the Droid kicks ass over iphone. Went camping this weekend and all the iphones with Verizon service got great signals while my bionic with verizon got nothing. It was frustrating, but still an Android advocate.

You know, my sister had the same issue. Her data dropped on the way to the Grand Canyon. She said that her friends who have VZ 3G phones had no issues. She's on .232 as well. She told me she turned on Data Roaming to fix her data but I'm not sure if that was a good idea. (I'm not saying that's the fix)

I don't go camping too much but I've been to places where it's pretty rural and never had issues with data drops. I've seen my phone switch from 3g to 1x but data has never dropped.

Lol. I propose we send our resident leak tester (that's you john) out to that camping ground and troubleshoot guttys issue. Haha

It was actually nice to not use a phone for a few days...ICS probably didn't work intentionally to get me away from my phone

I don't know, I get 4G data drops regularly lately & I'm completely stock. I think it could possibly be due to the small solar flares we've been having lately

Yeah, it has similar problems as the ICS4 BIONIC (CM9) when it was first released. I use my phone as a daily driver, and it has too much stuff not working that I need on a daily basis...

But, if Motorola does not make JB for our phones, it's nice to know there is an alternative :P

being a truck driver. i delivered a load into the mountains somewehre in colorado. at a house. i had no signal from pueblo colorado to montrose colorado. 225 miles for even a phone call. while the house i delivered in the middle of my journey had a very strong 3g signal on there verizon phones.
