Droid getting 2.2 Aug 2nd, will HTC retaliate?

I'm just happy I don't have to wait until December. Anyone who says Sprint failed because Verizon get's there a day earlier has a problem that I'm not qualified to diagnose.
 
Let me be clear, I didn't mean to complain and say that HTC should release first. I'm happy for droid users, everyone should have some froyo lovin', I just wanted to know if anyone thought HTC would change their plans.
