Droid inc battery with droid inc2?

I'm soon getting droid in2 and i have a extended battery from the first one that works with evo also.I was wondering if anyone who the first droid tried using battery on the second one.
 
if its the same size as the original battery, then use it is possible, as there are other threads about it here. if its the one that requires an extended battery door, then no it won't be able to work with the inc2.
 
Don't think it will work, I have the same problem... drove over my Dinc-1, ASSurion is sending me a Dinc-2 today. I also bought a new extended battery a few days ago...

From looking at the specs for the battery itself, it looks like the Dinc-2 battery is 5mm wider than the battery for the Dinc-1. Bigger problem is that the case of the Dinc-2 is also bigger so I doubt the extended battery case for the Dinc-1 will fit. I will know for sure tonight.
 
The Dinc-2 will power up with the battery from the Dinc-1 but I couldn't get the phone back to completely latch. I think it's because the battery didn't sit completely flat due to the slight difference in the contacts on the battery. Bummer... The extended battery and cover from the Dinc-1 don't even come close to fitting the Dinc-2.
 
if you search the forum you can find how people clipped off a piece of the regular battery and flipped it the other way (because of the fact that the contacts are reversed from the inc1 to the inc2) and it will fit and work fine.
 
no.. there is no extended battery cover that will work for your inc2 if your using the inc1 extended battery. that's what i'm trying to say.. the only inc1 batteries usable in the inc2 (and by usable i mean able to have the battery cover on) are the ones that are the stock batteries or the 1700mah extended batteries. the bigger one for the inc1 requiring a separate battery cover, will not be usable in the inc2 as there is no battery cover for that battery that will fit the inc2. and since the battery cover is necessary for reception, there is no way around that.
