Help Droid Incredible Battery Charging

Also, to keep in mind, since I didn't see you mention this, but USB charging and wall charging will have 2 different rates of charge. USB is typically ~5v, and wall charging is 12v, so wall charging will be much quicker (think 55-60% faster). Sometimes when I charge at work off USB while the phone is active, it may take an hour or more to get 5% charge. But 30-60mins off a wall or car jack and it's gained 60-80% charge.

NO, NO, NO, NO! (sorry, if I didn't react like that the Physics police would track me down and take away my degree). Both the wall charger and a USB connection will output ~5V. The difference is the Current that they put out (and the phone draws). The wall charger puts out 1A while USB puts 0.5A. And unless the connection to the phone is wired the correct way (the middle 2 pins should be connected), the phone will only draw 0.5A.

This is absolutely correct. Some cheap USB cables will only charge .5A, even if connected to an AC adapter. The UsB cable that came with Seidio's charger is one such cheap POS (for the 2 weeks it worked). The two cables that come with HTCPedia's dock are capable of 1A charging.

So my premise was correct, but my electrical knowledge was off. 1 amp will still charge faster than .5 amps. :)
