Help Droid Incredible Battery Life

Hello, first time poster, but Android lover. Anyways I am still about a year from my next upgrade, so I have to make do with my Droid, don't get me wrong I love it, but there is one problem. After an overnight charge I turn it on and load up Facebook and Twitter to see what I misses over night. After all that my phone is less than 75% of battery. Anyone know what'd up? I know Android phones don't have the best battery but this is ridiculous. Only solution I've found is to start carring my charger around. Embarrassing...

If you charge the battery with the phone on, once it reaches 100% the charging process stops and the phone starts to use the battery. So, when you unplug the charger you will typically see a drop in battery level to about 90% to reflect the amount of battery use from time the charge light turned green, to the time the phone is unplugged. Your battery could just be past its prime, lithium ion batteries sometimes only last for a year or more depending how many charge/discharge cycles they've gone through.

So I'd just pick up another battery and at worst you'll just have an extra battery for your phone instead of having to carry a charger

Thanks for all the info, but I do charge my battery with my phone off, I don't use fast boot and all alternate between three different HTC branded batteries, always the same result. Any other ideas?

Rotating your batteries may be part of the problem since the calibration algorithm isn't calibrated for two of the three batteries that you are using.
I had this problem in the past as well. Try using a single battery and allow it to go from a full bump charge to shut off a few times in a row and I think you will be surprised at how long the battery starts to last. I am a moderate to heavy user and get at least 20 hours of up time and around 6 hours of awake time on a bump charge. If I start getting less than 4 hours of awake time I recalibrate with a full charge all the way to shut off a few times and usually this works. If not, I change batteries. All bets are off if you have multiple apps syncing all day long with a weak signal.
