Been quite a while. Rooted my Dinc. Tried a ROM a few weeks back and hated the results (even though it turns out it wasn't the ROM so much as it was the signal strength starting to really suck at cubicle). Anyways, when it comes to modding any piece of hardware, there's always a huge time investment involved which I wasn't prepared for so I kind of set it aside. Even now while most are enjoying 2.2 I'm still stuck in the past of 2.1-Land. LOL

Anyways, I think I might take some time this wekened to play around with some ROMs. The laziest part of me still dreads the thought, to be completely honest.
"Well dummy, then why did you root it?" a more sensible person might ask. Because I wanted to be ahead of the curve. Now I'm behind it! Haha.
Oh well, gives me an excuse to flex the ol' braincells and really explore the fringes of open source development.

Good to see folks like Steven still humping about in this thread. (Why did so many threads get un-stickied?!)

Yeah, so you have to do a factory reset after 2.2. Not looking forward to that at all. I'm happy with my rooted 2.1
