Change to the family plan if you haven't already, add a new line for 9.99/month, get your Incredible for $200, then cancel the original line when you can. or update it to a new phone next year.

That would end up being more expensive. The ETF on smartphone lines is $350.

Music player on Incredible doesn't seem to find music files on phone internal storage (although finds the music files if they are saved to the SD card)....does anyone know how to get the phone apps to use the internal phone storage ??

Quick question.. Is there a quicker way to set your call settings? You know.. to turn off your ringer or set it to vibrate when you're somewhere you shouldn't have your ringer on (movie theater, church, etc.?) I know I can go to menu>sound&display>sound profile and do it.. but I thought I noticed a shortcut somewhere but now I can't find it.

You can just hold down the power button when the phone is on. When the menu pops up, choose silent mode or vibration mode (can also power off or choose airplane mode or turn mobile network off)

Another easy way is just to click the volume down button until it goes to vibrate.

So after all this, I now have my own Incredible. I must say it is very, very fast. The reports of its plasticky feel are highly exaggerated. The softtouch keys are very sensitive and the notifications bar is a bit tricky to access especially if you have fat fingers like i do. I end up launching the htc weather app often. I feel it could be a few pixels wider in future forms of it.

Leaping from an enV 2, this is my first smartphone and the features were a bit overwhelming. I feel like the Sense UI and Google accounts kind of clash with one another but overall it is awesome.

Glad to join in on the thread again.

How have you folks added contacts (people)? I sort mostly everyone under google and some that aren't as important, or without emails, under phone. Is there a difference? A preference? Looking for insight.

eh I noticed it was a bit thinner then a lot of backs, it almost felt like the back of one of those two piece snap on covers for phones.

All that said once its snapped into place it feels as firm and solid as any other phone I've used. I doubt I will be taking the back off the phone much, and at least I have the option to get to the battery.

I'm slowing plowing through my Incredible trying to get comfortable with it. It will take me a while, but I'm having fun. One thing I'm stuck on. I have loaded about 10 songs onto my card. I would like to make ringtones out of parts of a few of these songs. I recall someone saying there was a way to cut out the part you want to save as a ringtone. This feature was already on our Incredibles, but I don't know where to find it or what it's called.

I'm coming from a blackberry, and I can't even figure out how to get music ON my incredible. I can't just move it from my computer using My Computer, because even though My Computer recognizes it as not one, but TWO removable drives, when I open those drives, there are no folders. What am I doing wrong???

BB ones won't work, they are mini's, DI uses micro usb's. Luckily I have several of VZW micro usb chargers laying around the house, wall and car chargers, so I'm set. :)

My BB tour charger was micro SB, so it works. Depending on which type you had, your BB chargers may work.

Ooooh...I think I figured it out! I feel like such a noob. Wait...I AM a noob. :D

For those of you fortunate enough to have gotten your Incredible already, can you tell me if the screen is visible in outside in the sunlight.

This review says that it is hardly usable in the sunlight.

Droid Incredible Review Android Apps - The latest Android Apps

"Another complaint, this one valid, is that the screen does not do well in bright sunlight. If bright enough, visibility of the screen is reduced to nil. Until the exact locations of the onscreen buttons are memorized, it is possible to miss some calls in bright daylight."

Thanks

It is a little difficult to see in the sunlight, but no more so than my BB was or my iPod Touch.

The sales guy at Verizon said I shouldn't charge the Incredible overnight. He said four hours with the charger max. I never heard that before...is that true?

Yea I know that, I was saying the line that you have now, keep it at 9.99/month, until the contract ends. You'll be screwed out of some money if you upgrade anyway, but FWIW it's worth it...LOL

My wife and I both got our Incredibles in the mail on 4/29....

What's today? Feels like I haven't eaten or seen daylight in many days....?

Anyone seen my dog?

well i did, and my battery is performing very well... in fact, I can't seem to kill it!

I GOT MY INCREDIBLE LAST THURSDAY!
I've been so happy!! this phone is beautiful! For everyone that complained about the design (me, before i got the device and reviewers)i must say are wrong. It feels great in the hand! and it is way more sleek than i ever dreamed of! When i did my unboxing it was weird that i had Sade on in the background as i took off the back cover (HAHA IM SO SERIOUS BUT IT WAS I COINCIDENCE). Im actually in love with how the back looks. I feel like it was carved for my fingers. Also, call quality is great. I get 3-4 bars majority of the time where my omnia got one bar.I've actually had NO problem whatsoever seeing the screen in sunlight. idk why but i can see it just fine! Battery life is the only negative. If i was out all day the phone would probably die on me. I try to charge it any time i go to my room. Friendstream has done wonders in getting contacts with a simple login.

Just thought id take some time to share my experience with the phone! now that i have it ill probably just read some tips and things. I dont want to accidentally get addicted to another phone. Me and my Incredible are faithful to one another. Oh it's calling me now!

OMG I laughed out loud at this! That's how I feel, everyone leave me alone so I can play with my phone.
