Hey everyone. Just ordered my Dinc in-store today. they said it would have to be shipped. Fed Ex shows it as being "picked up" form Memphis. It s coming to NE Indiana. anyone with similar situation want to give me an estimate of what their timeline was?

nah you should be on pins and needles waiting for fedex just like the rest of us who pre-ordered were
should be there by 3pm tomorrow (realistically between noon and 3pm)
Been on pins and needles for a week. Went to the store to check out the phone. found out I was one week short of my update date. been going nuts all week!
Set everything up for using DI as modem for laptop and then find out that, in addition to my data plan, I have to fork over another $30 month for VZ Access to do this. Verizon CS said the data plan only covers data usage on the device. Say what? That's lame!
VZW sometimes reminds me of that quote from "Wall Street" where Michael Douglas says "Greed is good."Check out PDAnet on the market, one-time $25 fee for tethering or there is also a free trial... should be better than VZW's monthly fee

They didn't let you upgrade early? Wow, I have been hearing rummors that they were letting people upgrade as far out as 4 months... Oh well at least you'll get yours tomorrow and then the real fun begins! make sure you read the tips on battery cycling and all that jazz it'll make your experience that much better!
We have 2 phones on our line. My hubby used the primary upgrade in January to get his Motorola Droid. Even begging could not get them to bend the date on the second one. So now I wait. Impatiently.
Yep, I stumbled in to this forum last year right after I got my first Android (Eris) and have been addicted ever since.Where would corporate America be without greed? I can't blame them, but think about it this way, they put a phone on their network that is open sourced and can totally circumvent some of their higher-end services (i.e. tethering, visual voicemail and even regular text) with apps on the marketplace or elsewhere (PDAnet and Google voice come to mind). They just try and get the people who don't want to research or don't have the tools to find out about those kinds of things to pay up. But now that you found this lovely web-site you needn't bother with those things anymore
Interesting scenario...I installed PdaNet successfully on both DI and laptop. My default browser on laptop is Firefox. Firefox crashed immediately and continuously. I know Firefox is still working on an Android version of their browser so I guess this was part of the problem. Switched browser to Google Chrome and it loaded immediately. Got online using DI as modem and was able to go on different websites simultaneously which was fun. I ran videos from Youtube on DI while running other videos on the PC at the same time. The DI was faster loading than my laptop. It took me a while to figure out that I had to disable all modems on PC except for PdaNet before anything would function. What a blast! I was using a very fast wireless connection at home for this whole experiment.Check out PDAnet on the market, one-time $25 fee for tethering or there is also a free trial... should be better than VZW's monthly fee

Yep. Very interactive little Android this DI is...GLad to hear that it worked out for ya! Now isn't that better than the VZW alternative
