Morning All!
have you been able to run CM7 yet or is life still getting in the way ?
No, haven't been able to flash yet:(. Tomorrow afternoon, hopefully. They are moving so fast with the updates!
Hey guys I'm having a problem my incredible has really slow speeds from speed test.net I'm getting less than.5 mbps down and like .8 up how can I fix?

it all depends on your location ... try calling *228 hit option 2 to update your roaming compatibilities and connect you to the closest cell tower to you
I've had generally poor results using speedtest.net, especially with their app. I've found that using the browser and running the tests at dslreports.com yeilds better results.

yeah they have about two builds a day but still way off from being done ... i would say if you dont what the one with the most bugs in i would go with 41 or 45 they seam to be the best builds so far... i am waiting for today builds and i will let you know how they are after i flash them tonight

I just tried connecting my replacement refurb to my PC for the first time... I always use the ac charger. I did not receive an option screen to charge or view drives though it's selected on the Dinc. Instead a "found new device" screen appeared and wanted to find/install drivers. Any ideas?

Go here and download the HTC sync program for the Incredible, it contains the drivers:

HTC Sync

DO NOT DOWNLOAD HTC SYNC if u ever wanna root your phone it messes with something not letting the root to work ... i would use the root drivrts from unrevoked they work perfect and u kill 2 birds with 1 stone

Thanks Musky. I haven't checked for success but I did install the sync drivers you provided the link for. It strikes me odd that my original Dinc had zero problems connecting to this PC and the refurb is unrecognized hardware. In any event.. thanks.

Back after messing with my problem. After installing the sync program all I get when I connect the Dinc to the PC is the VCast page via the internet so I removed it. It still shows up on connect so that I don't understand. The phone goes straight to charge if it's off and will go to whatever choice... charge or disk drive if it's on when connected to the PC. When the phone is on I get the dialog box to choose which action.. move files/connect through this viewer or player etc... the box when you connect any USB device. After choosing "take no action" the drives show up so I can manage/transfer files. The entire problem is just weird.

Thanks Kid, I don't mind the bugs (as long as they don't keep me from using the phone as a phone and I can access my mail, and send/receive SMS). Have you tried 49.5 yet?

I disabled HTC sync from starting with Windows, so when I plug my phone in Windows just uses the drivers and tells me that it has found two new "drives" and gives me the "choices" window that you're getting. I always choose "open in folder", then I just move files back and forth using Windows explorer. So I would disable HTC Sync from starting with Windows, and you'll stop getting Verizon's "virtual drive".

Sure.. that's not a problem. I can access the drives.. I can even charge through the PC if I care to. What I can't figure out is why the refurb Dinc acts differently than my original. My first Dinc when plugged into the PC would evoke a simple screen asking if I wanted to access the drives or merely charge the device. I changed nothing on the PC so whatever is different has to be between the two phones. Try as I might... I can't find what setting is different. It's a quandary more than a problem. I had the refurb a month before connecting it to my PC to give you some idea just how important that is to me.... and I was only taking a look at the OEM folder structure so I might pony up an intelligent answer for someone here on the forum. I do appreciate your thoughts and time.

Did the first one have the Froyo (2.2) upgrade? Because PC connections changed after that. Maybe your refurb has 2.2 where your original didn't? Just a thought.

You have very likely hit on the answer my friend. Yes, my original was flashed with 2.2 and never acted quite the same afterward. Being as my speaker was going south... I opted for a refurb. But........ as I said before, I rarely connect my phones to the PC. I very likely never had my original Dinc connected to my PC after the upgrade. I wasn't aware of the change and so I thought the difference was the refurb's problem. Thanks for unraveling the mystery for me.
