You have no battery complaint then. That sounds at least as good as the Dinc. I hope the update is the fix for your 4g. If I'm understanding correctly, it only works when you are on a charge? That does seem odd. I'm as curious about the build as I am the software. I've been very happy with my Dinc but I'm satisfied the build is on the weak side. I'm on Dinc #4 and mostly because of speaker problems. I don't suppose I'll be making any changes soon.. but I'm always looking for something to want lol. I don't know about the unit size and pocket handiness but I'm certain I'd enjoy the larger display... if it's not too big. Keep me posted as you go along. It will be the bolt or the Dinc2 that will likely be my next phone.
 
As far as in my pocket most the time I check my pocket to see if its in there. For the size its surprisingly quite sleek. Yeah I am happy with battery life. Bit I guess thats because I own a v8 truck and use to poor gas mileage. I look at it this way going to have high performance. Then gotta take a.hit in the consumption department.

My inc decided to erase itself the other day.... contacts, apps, etc....

I've traced the problem to an issue with some files on my SD card. Not sure if its malicious apps or what but its definitely something I had saved on there.... pissed me off that I factory reset before I realized it was a SD problem, it was like my OS was corrupted, even after the first factory reset.....

Of course I did have over 300 apps on my sion lol. Now I have 80 something and phone is running awesome! Thinking about just getting an extended battery.... Tbolt sure is looking sexy though....
 
Passing the pocket test is a biggie for me. My Dinc resides in a front pocket all day every day. I will say this.. there are times when I find it has turned upside down while riding along with me. That gives me reason to believe it could be larger and not be a problem. It might even be better. I do agree that with performance comes a price.. battery drain. I am spoiled to having my mail runs on auto as well as facebook, weather, and others. I don't think I want a V8 that I'm afraid to get into the passing lane for fear of not getting to the next gas station. You will have to turn that beast loose some day and give another battery report.

Guess I missed ya. Darn sorry to hear about your purge. I've never lost my goodies though I've had to move them from phone to phone. I bet that is a real bummer.

BTW. Flashed SR 4.0 yesterday and all I can say is :eek::eek::eek::eek:!!!!!!! IHTFP really outdid himself on this one! Now he's working on a 4.1 update? Can it get any better? It is going to be a HUGE loss to the Incredible community if he really hangs up his dev hat.

Wow, didn't get the snow up here, just rain and lightning last night.

And because of all the water we've been getting (I think) my wife's sewing room in the basement is getting some in. The carpet is really wet to about 2 feet from the wall, and down along the inside wall. Gotta figure out what I can even do about it.

I'm loving it so far. The GB keyboard is taking a little getting used to, but I can see advantages to it. I really hope we can convince him to keep going. Can you imagine what he would do with an official GB ROM with full sense 2.0 as a starting point? It would be awesome!

I'm thinking about giving a donation to him, but I've never done it before. Not sure about how much. I don't want to give so little that it's insulting, but I can't give a ton, you know?

We didn't get much - just some small flurries.

That's bad news on the basement. I hope it doesn't get too bad before you can get it taken care of.

The guy definitely is good. I was able to get my phone looking like it did with SR 3.5 except for the transparent flip clock. Got to remember how I did that:confused:.

I donated to him when I decided on SR 3.5 for my daily driver (don't remember now how much $5-10) and will definitely do so again, I just have to wait until I get paid again.
 
Forgot to add - I haven't used the HTC keyboard in ages - I use Swype, so the GB KB was only used to do the initial setup until I restored my apps.
 
Pardon me for asking this in here, but you guys are the only ones I know who are always testing out ROMs. Does anyone know of an app that will let "hands free" Bluetooth work with my Dinc?

I have a Jabar Cruiser2 and it shows up in my Incredible like a headphone. I can make calls if I dial them from the phone first, and it will also answer them OK. But the hands free dialing doesn't work. Around here the cops are really cracking down with big fines.

Is there an app that will work as a go between or do I need to flash a ROM?

I am rooted, but have never done anything more then remove bloatware and use the mobile hotspot with it.

hummm... i have never herd of this happening before i mean i am on a rom and my stuff works (although the voice reg. SUCKS) ... stupid question but are you sure your model supports hands free dialing?

My Model what? The Incredible has since 2.2 I believe and the Jabar Cruiser2 advertises that it does. I have the same problem with the built-in Bluetooth in the car. It may be because the contacts uploads always fail for some reson, maybe I'm missing a setting. :confused:

that is possible... why not just use the voice commands through the phone instead of trying to use the Bluetooth to start the voice commands?
