I have a good friend that did the lasik thing. He could do commercials. Talk about a happy camper. I can't imagine that sort of freedom.

I know my optometrist well lol. The conversation was not nearly as grim as I presented it. lol He did have a somewhat slanted way of assuring me he could always correct my vision...

I had a girlfriend in high school that wore contacts. I don't think they had anything but glass waaaaaaaaaay back then. Anyway, she was hit in the eye by her little brother screwing around and it messed her eye up in some fashion. I don't know exactly how/what now to be honest. All I remember is she was lucky it wasn't a harder blow. Maybe the softer lenses of today are more forgiving ... I don't know.
But to me that's scary. I don't know how many times my glasses have saved my eyes from something or another. Almost makes me glad I have them lol.

You can definitely tear them though. My son's are very delicate, and expensive. He's getting better at getting them out without damaging them.

It was in the mid sixties here in doodah today. Is that global warming or what? It was so nice that I grilled out some steaks... felt like spring. What worries me is I've seen crickets and such in the yard. It's the first of Feb folks... holy smokes.. what will the summer bring?

It was in the sixties here in Ohio, too. I just know we're going to have a late blizzard to make us pay for all this warm weather. That or a frigid March.

Kansas is known for it's extremes that can flip from one to another in nothing flat.
But to see it this mild... and dry across the winter is uncommon. I can remember a month of Jan where the temps stayed around zero for the entire month. Maybe it's just the other end of that extreme thing or cycles that I'm seeing now. Anyway, I best get my lawn mower ready lol.

Mine hasn't either. I cleaned up a yard myself yesterday. It was full of leaves. I used my blower to pile them up in the middle of the yard and then mulched em to bits. I believe in automation. :)

You gotta love dogs! I don't think I've ever not had a dog or two.. or even more lol.
My kids were all allergic to cats so we've had many a dog through the years. All fine in their own way.

My dog I have now is my first and she is 8 or 9 years old and still plays like a puppy but my parents were always cat people so I didn't have a dog growing up

What bread is your pups
My gizmo is 75% pitbull and 25% Chesapeake Bay retriever

I've had a bit of this and that through the years. I had an Irish setter, poodles and a German shepherd growing up. As an adult I've had a couple of mutts, saint bernard, German shepherd, a mom and pop dalmatian with one litter, and the last fifteen years or so we've had shih-tzus. We currently have a male and female. Might have some pups this summer or I miss my guess. :)

Nice although I have never had one I ain't really a fan of the longer haired dogs lol to much with how much I play with my dog in the grass

The hair is an issue. They don't shed but they require grooming and clipping. They are good loving dogs.. and small enough to be inside dogs. The older I get, the less desire/time I have to spend in the yard playing with the dogs. Inside is far better for me and the pets.

Ahh age is no excuse lol...
And I like my doggies idea of grooming is jumping in the shower with you in morning.... No joke we have to lock her out of the bathrooms in the morning lol
