I have an aunt that lives in North Eastern Kansas. Not sure what the name of the place is though.

I've been to Wichita a couple times for work. It was years ago, but it was a nice place. My only complaint was the lack of mountains. Being from Northern Utah, I feel the need to be around big mountains. :)

All places I've had the pleasure to visit has it's merits. Life is different everywhere I go but enjoyable. I've never visited the Eastern coastal states. That's why I asked.
I have an old gf that lived on your coastline for decades. She just recently returned to this area to retire. When asked why she said it was a bit cheaper to live here and her aged parents are still in this area. It wasn't like.... ah it feels so good to be back home lol.

Mountains.. sure enough there is a real shortage of scenery around here. Unless you are into open spaces you will definitely suffer from the lack of interesting things on the horizon. I love mountains. As a child I spent many a summer vacation camping in the mountains of Co. There is much to say about the majestic beauty of mountains.

Its not bad here. Its a bit more costly to live and definitely more crowded in the metropolitan areas. But there is 'country' living as well. I'd agree with you Olbriar, every place has its merits and everyone has to decide which ones work best for them.

My oldest daughter migrated to Az shortly after her marriage. I figured she would hate the Phoenix area.. not so. It's home to her and she would NEVER return to Ks.
It's a great place to visit over Christmas.. but it's not for me. Ks is not for her.. there ya go. Different strokes for diff....

Nothing wrong with Oz. Far from the maddening crowd so to speak. I'm located in a burb just outside Wichita Ks. Nothing to brag about but no huge complaints. What's wrong with the Eastern seaboard?

Just everything. I liked living in Washington state when I was a kid. It just seemed more clean out west.

It's likely a population thing. We have some counties in Ks where there are less than 2k population lol. There aren't enough people here to trash it.

HELLLPPP!!!

Has anyone had any GPS accuracy issues? I use my GPS constantly, but all of a sudden it thinks i am somewhere else. It senses me moving, the direction is correct, but it thinks im like a few blocks off to the east ... this causes a major issue with navigation

im on Nightlies, but how can i tell if this is a software of hardware issue?

I must have gps, ill need to buy a new phone tomorrow if i cant find an answer.

thanks all

humm we got about a 45 min blizzard here and then it was all over and about 1/2 an inch of snow was on the ground just enough to make it look pretty

We ended up with three inches. Was a mess this morning but the roads were pretty good on the way home from work. I think it's supposed to get into the forties tomorrow.. good bye snow. :) ...which is good. I grabbed my snow shovel from the shed when I got home. I thought I'd clean off the porch and walk and perhaps some drive but the third scoop and snap... my handle broke off in my hand. It will just have to melt. :)
