Thanks. I'm actually going to take the summer off. It's the first time since I turned 16 that I'll have one off and I'm looking forward to it. Have lots of stuff planned and now I don't have to worry about taking time off.

I haven't looked at any of the new phones so I can't say I have an opinion for you. I loved my Dinc and would probably still be using it if the Nexus hadn't come out.

I'm also excited to not work this summer. People always say getting three months off is a perk of being a teacher, but we usually have trainings in August and normally we get closer to 7 or 8 weeks off. It's going to be much less this year due to packing for the big move and all the additional trainings this summer. I need a break as I've been working on school stuff every single day since before Memorial Day including weekends. I have no idea where I'll be teaching or even what grade until the end of July, so it's a bit stressful.

How do you feel about the size of the Nexus? Was it fairly easy to adjust to it? I just can't imagine having a phone with a screen larger than 4 inches. I love what the SG3 can do, but 4.8" is massive! Bigger isn't always better! The Dinc is perfect for me and I'd keep it if it wasn't for the end of unlimited data. I can't afford to buy a phone without extending my contract though.

My wife is a teacher and I know what you are saying about summers off lol. But it does give her some R&R which she is always needing. People just don't realize how much stress there is in the teaching profession. I guess if you didn't give a hoot about the kids it wouldn't be a biggie.

I jumped in here because I too migrated from the Dinc. A great phone! I thought I wouldn't like the larger screen but I find it much to my liking now. It took very little time to fall in love with actually. My biggest reason for hanging onto the Dinc as long as I did was the screen size. Now that I moved on... it seems like such a trivial reason. I'm betting you will instantly enjoy the larger screen.. especially with a higher definition.
Best of luck in your shopping. I went with the Rezound BTW... not that I'm plugging the device. ... just wanted to say that bigger is sometimes better. :)

I love the Nexus size. It took about 2 days to get completely comfortable with it but after that I don't notice it unless I have to help a friend with a smaller phone.

I'm LOVING my Rezound. Of couurse I still have my Incredible, it's sitting between my Rez and my Transformeer.

The difference in the overall size of the naked Rezound and Incredible is actually minor, so I think you would have little trouble getting used to it Triska. I've added an Otterbox case to my Rezound, (for some reason, I've become quite butterfingered lately) and it did add quite a bit of bulk to it but it is still comfortable in my hands.

I've been on ICS Roms for a while now - What are the quirks you are referring to?

I guess the main thing that bugs me is sense getting kicked out of RAM super easy. Sometimes I go into the play store and when I exit it has to reload sense. You'd think it would be higher on the priority list to keep in RAM.

Edit: I understand there are programs so large they can't help it, but some of the things I load that kick it out boggle the mind.

I did experience that when I was running the stock GB ROM, I don't think it has happened much since I started running Venasaur. I don't remember if it happened on the "stock" ICS ROM or not since I only kept it long enough to set up my multi-boot. Based on what the most recent leak changed, it looks like the OTA could be coming very soon. The leak contained only some minor changes.

Definitely looking forward to it. I hope they hurry, but I'm not holding my breath.

Thanks! For some reason I was thinking the Rezound wasn't that great, but that may be because a friend didn't like hers (which could be because she came from an iPhone and doesn't know about the awesomeness of Android). I think I'll just go for the Rezound. I can't do much better than $79. I know my official upgrade date is the 29th so I doubt I'll be able to get my last NE2 discount, but maybe they'll be generous and give it to me since they've been bugging me to upgrade for awhile. If the Inc4G does come out on July 5 as rumored and they allow me to keep my unlimited data and exchange it for the subsidized price, then I'll do that, but it's sounding like the only way you get to keep your unlimited during an exchange is if you pay full price for the new one. Has that always been the case with exchanges? A few reps have been quoted as saying that if you exchange a subsidized phone, you have to pay full price for the new one (they're saying that in regards to keeping unlimited data, so I don't know if it's a separate issue or that it is a new rule). I thought if you exchanged it within 14 days, because you signed a new contract, you got the subsidized price on the new one as well.

A bigger screen is always better, but what I meant was that a bigger phone overall isn't always better...for me anyways. I know most of you are guys and your hands are bigger. Mine are tiny and I like to be able to hold my phone in one hand and still be able to use it one handed. Besides, I almost always have my iPad or Kindle Fire with me, so if I need to have a bigger screen, I just use them.

How's the battery life on the Rezound? I'm sure it's better than the Dinc's. Does it have ICS yet or just for rooted devices?

Where to start? I don't know how the exchange thing works, I've never had the need to do it. As far as the size of the phone goes, it really isn't much bigger than the Incredible, it is slightly wider, but you should be fine. I get decent battery life (I'm rooted and am running a custom ROM, so I could be the ROM, perhaps Olbriar or Rawlings can give you a better gague), I'd say definitely better than with my Incredible.

Finally, no ICS for non-rooted Rezounds (unless you want to flash one of the leaked RUUs), but based on what I've seen from the latest leak, it is close to ready.

I been surviving

Ready to go to Comic-con!
Good to hear.

I envy you. Would love to go to Comic-con, just can't seem to ever get the time and/or funds together to make it :(.

Whatever it takes to get in ;). If I could have been in the area, I'd have done the same. I used to volunteer to work my former company's booth at CES just so I could get in. Usually worked out well, since they really only took me along to support the equipment so I had lots of free time to explore (play :D)

Well, I finally got my Rezound. I tried to order earlier, but the expected arrival date was while I was on vacation and since I didn't want it to come while I was gone, I waited to upgrade until the 27th. All day, I was thinking about it and then we didn't get back to our hotel until it was almost 9pm. They definitely launched the new data plans right at 9pm PST/midnight EST. By the time I got to the ordering page, it was 9:05 and it told me I couldn't keep my unlimited data. I immediately called them and got a great rep who worked very hard to keep my unlimited! It took 45 minutes because I wouldn't get off the phone until the order went through and the website kept saying the page couldn't be loaded. I couldn't get the $79 price over the phone, so I had to order it through the website. Even though I ordered it on Wednesday night and it was shipped on Thursday, I didn't get it until Monday. In order to keep my unlimited, I had to wait to activate until she called me back on Tuesday. I just double-checked and I still have my unlimited though!

It definitely is a sturdy phone and feels much more bulky than my Inc. and to me, it's noticeably more heavy, even with the Seidio case on my Inc. I'll play with it for a few days and if I can't get used to it, I may need to exchange it for an Inc4G if I can somehow convince them to allow me to keep my unlimited data. I'm sure it's wishful thinking though.

Give it a whirl for a few days. It will grow on you :) Especially when you see how great it performs. I'm glad you sneaked in under the deadline to keep your unlimited.
Be sure to check out the Rezound sub for all the tips and tricks.

Glad you were able to keep your unlimited plan. I didn't think about the weight difference when I was comparing the two. Like olbriar says, I think it'll grow on you, it's a great phone.
I think you'll like it. However, it's certainly not for everyone. So if it's not for you, we won't be offended.
Speak for yourself ;). J/K Triska, it may have been the phones that brought us together, but it has grown beyond that.

The Inc 4G is VERY tempting! If it was 4'3 I would probably jump ship immediately. :D

I'd feel different if 1. we got official ICS like NOW! lol or 2. we were getting sense 4.0 whenever OTA does come
