Let's hope you haven't cursed them :) I'm not real superstitious about sports. Growing up playing ball I never gloated over victories or pointed fingers at teammates when we lost... but I think that was part of starting out with some decent coaching. I wasn't that guy that never washed his socks or something lol. As a spectator I am one of those guys that claps his hands and shouts at the players... if I'm there or watching TV. :D I get involved and can't help it.
I don't wear a jersey or have a team shrine in my home but I love my teams.

I do think that a team will get a certain mojo working for them. It's like an additional man on the field and is hard to beat. You can see it come and go during a baseball game. I suspect it's the same with your hockey team. It's great when your team has it and it's terrible when the other team takes it from you. It usually pivots on a mistake or an exceptional play and blossoms from there. Fun to watch and impossible to explain.

Best explanation of the magic that some call heart in the game that I've ever heard.

I think that the Royals had that in stock when they entered the series.

SF is going to be on fire Friday.

After that, forget it. :D

I totally agree, the Royals had it "going on" when they entered the series. The Giants are a formidable opponent and snatched the wind out of the Royals sails. The difference between a good team and a winning team is it's ability to stay posed, ready to pounce, when that mojo is up for grabs. That lead off homer could have shut down a lesser team.
Hats off to the Royals for waiting for their chance and taking it when presented.

I so hope your predictions ring true. I do know that the Royals will be waiting for their chances. I've not seen them hang their heads in pre defeat all season.

I'm not complaining but your predictions for game 3 did not pan out. Loved the victory for sure. Onto game 4... I'm nervous. Vargas on the mound will take some stellar defense.... if their hits stay in the park.

As for my prediction - what a bullpen, that's for sure!

Three games in, both teams have had 11 runs. I don't why and I haven't looked it up, but that struck me just now as a pretty weird stat.

Numbers aside, I'm with you, can't wait to see what tonight is going to bring!

It was by far the Royal's weakest pitching lineup tonight. I was nervous before the game for good reason. I thought Vargas did a decent job keeping the ball in play. You really can't expect more than that from him. We needed some pitching behind him. And we certainly didn't need three hits from their nine hole. Just wasn't our night. It was a lot of fun to watch for half of the game for all the fans and nine innings of fun for Giants fans.

Up until I posted it was a good game and the score was tied, then it went to hell fast! Next time I'm keeping my mouth shut! :)

I'll not point a finger at ya Musky. I just hope you are enjoying the series. I'm lovin it. It's a dream come true to have your favorite team battling for it all. If anyone jinxed that game it was me. My son and I were laughing and high fiving when we were up 4-1.
I knew better than that. Way too much game left to get excited.

Yes, it was to early to be celebrating (too much) but, since I don't believe in that kind of stuff, no harm done. :)

I grew up a Dodger fan so I automatically root for whichever team is playing the Giants! I also have a soft spot for the underdog

I think KC will pull it off. They're heading for home now!

And I'm heading for bed, goodnight.

It should prove to be a great game tonight. SF does not want to go to KC down one. KC can put themselves in the driver seat with a win. Bumgarner, their ace, pitching against big game James. SF beat James up with his first start. Bumgarner shut down the Royals in his first start. You know it will not likely go down that same path again. I like the Royals in this one.

Facepalm indeed. It was hard to watch. Hats off to Bumgarner. He pitched a great game. Made our sticks look silly. Even our D was lack luster. Backs against the wall now by gosh. It won't come easy.. that I'm convinced.

Onto game 7. I think both teams have given baseball fans a lot to enjoy. It should prove to be a great game tomorrow with it all on the line. Both bullpens are rested. Do or die. I hope the Royals can come out on top but no matter what goes down... I've enjoyed the series.

You definitely have a splendid take on matters. :) I do think they play well for their fans.
They have a great road record too though. You may be spot on. One way or another, I'm thrilled they are taking it the distance. One game... winner takes all... 50-50 chance.. at home... coming off a big win... shutting out the opponent... putting up ten runs... rested bullpen... I love their chances.
