Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought Anon confirmed via the Verizon pic that we were going to be able to connect to wirless (WiFi) n. I have an n router and it doesn't see that portion of the router. Any thoughts?

I tried setting my router to n only and got the same result. Someone posted I believe on Tuesday that n didn't work also, so that's why I tried it out. I guess we'll have to find out from Anon how they got it to work. Anon if you're following how did you guys get n to work?

Saw a post today on another thread that stated Wireless N should be supported in the next upgrade. Said it was not a problem with hardware but with the software capabilities.

Hmmm, I jumped right on my wireless at home after I put in the network key, maybe my router is different but I can wander all over the place (even outside in the yard) and stay connected.

Got the red to black one, so did a coworker, and I gotta say - - pretty happy with it.

I had my phone naked the first 24 hours but then panic set it, and I got the case. Really like it.

My biggest problems with the silicone cases are their grip, and propensity to pick up pocket lint/cotton dust/whatever else is in your pocket/purse/cup holder.

The grippy aspect of the silicone means when I pull it out of my pocket, it comes out w/ everything else in there, too. My brother-in-law lost a $100 target gift card IN target this very way.
I bought the combo holster/case at Verizon today, it's great. Enter your location

I'm returning the VWZ crystal plastic snap-on case!!! It makes the phone feel like boo-boo!!!! It makes the phone look like boo-boo too!!!! I ordered a case from cheapdroids.com.

I feel really uncomfortable going caseless.... I might go to the corp store and ''borrow one'' until my new one comes...
Check this out, I got it and it's great! Enter your location

My wireless router works just fine, but there are three wifi standards on most of todays routers, b, g, & n. Wifi b came first, follwed by g and the n. Each newer standard netted quicker speed and longer range. What we were talking about is if wifi n works on this phone. When you connected on your router did you set it to n only or was it set to b/g only or mixed. If you did not set it to wifi n only, you were running off of wifi b or g, which does work fine. As stated in the post just before yours wifi n should be available in the next software update, in ohter words this phone is hardware capable but not software capable in regards to wifi n.

Is there a way to auto sync the fb with my contacts? I know in set up but it didnt do a lot automatically now I'm doing it manually

Testing my Incredible @ the club, lol! Seeing if I can take lots of pics twitter updates etc. At Tounge & Groove in ATL. Using Google Voice as my fake #. I'll report back later. If the Incredible can handle @ night out. My Eris failed that.

Hey guys got my Incredible and love it. Question, I am new to android and notice there is an update to google maps. Is this an update to the current "maps" there is on the Incredible?

It's an update to the program. The maps them selves are on the internet.

Ok, so in reply to Steve Job's Douchebaggery, adobe posted a blog about that and in it said somethings about flash, "We look forward to delivering Flash Player 10.1 for Android
smartphones as a public preview at Google I/O in May, and then a
general release in June. From that point on, an ever increasing number
and variety of powerful, Flash-enabled devices will be arriving which
we hope will provide a great landscape of choice" Moving Forward (Adobe Featured Blogs)

Sounds like a defective unit, there have been reports about the "pink" screen in the thread all day, get it replaced asap it is not supposed to have the pink hue!

OK, I have to publicly admit my ignorance here. I didn't realize it was a setting down from the highest brightness. When I turned it up all the way the pink hue seemed to go away. :o

However, I still have to say the original Droid screen is much better. When you put them side by side the clarity and depth of detail in the original Droid is just amazing.

But, this thing is a bullet and after a few minutes of surfing on it I am now one happy Incredible owner. I can't believe how fast and smooth it is. I can overlook a bit of screen res for this! :D

I suggest that whenever you don't know how to do something in an application press menu while in the application and see what comes up. A lot of the application will have a more option after you press the menu button. Press the more option to see what comes up.

Well I got my Incredible for the local Verizon today and it's going back tomorrow! It's defective, the off on button sticks and sometime the phone will turn on and sometimes it won't. They ran out of the phone and had me call 611. They have sent me a new phone overnight so I will have it tomorrow. There were other weird things like you touch the side of the phone and it changed screens. For a while I couldn't make call our receive them. I guess the phone must have been made on a MONDAY!

How do I "wipe" (blackberry term) my Moto Droid (before I sell it)?

Settings->Privacy

Does anyone know how to remove or at least terminate apps like CItyID on the Incredible? I've force stopped CityID multiple times and it seems to just restart on its own. Any suggestions?

Stock app(s) installed on the ROM- can only remove w/ root

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone could help me get an Incredible. Like many I followed the Inc thread for many months. Everyone got me excited about the phone and I figured I would have no problem upgrading to the Inc. because I checked my NE2 and it is set at 3/28/11 but I know Verizon normally lets you do an early yearly upgrade. I called Verizon on the 4/19 to see if it was possible for me to pre-order it and the guy told me I couldn't because I wasn't eligible for an upgrade but then he said they can give me the one year pricing on it if I called back once the phone was released which would be on the 29th.

So today I thought why not give the store a try and see if they can give me the full upgrade and I went to two different stores but both said I couldn't upgrade and the only option was to pay full retail. That wasn't too big a deal to me so I called Verizon to get the one year pricing on it which I was told was going to be $269.99. The lady I talked to told me they couldn't do any upgrade and that I would have to pay full retail. Now, I was a bit upset but I decided to call again just a few minutes ago. A talked to a different lady but she told me the same thing. I told both of them that last week the man I talked to said I could do the one year pricing but neither helped me with that. :(

I know everyone on these forums are very helpful and I was wondering if anyone can help me out with my dilemma. Any advice on what I should try or do?

If you can upgrade 3/28/11, that puts your contract end date at 7/28/11 since you can upgrade 4 months early, which means you originally signed your contract and upgraded on 7/28/09, so your 1 year date would be 7/2/10

How do I get my old apps back from the Droid I had without having to remember them? Thanks.

They should sync to your Gmail account

i wish i knew this too but i just typed out all the apps i had beforehand and redownloaded em i got home

See ^^

I'm slowing plowing through my Incredible trying to get comfortable with it. It will take me a while, but I'm having fun. One thing I'm stuck on. I have loaded about 10 songs onto my card. I would like to make ringtones out of parts of a few of these songs. I recall someone saying there was a way to cut out the part you want to save as a ringtone. This feature was already on our Incredibles, but I don't know where to find it or what it's called.

By the way, I went to my local Verizon store this morning to see if I could swap the free 2 GB card that want sent to me for a phone charger. No dice! Oh well. I also see (maybe it's been reported already--I haven't been reading the forum much today because I'm playing with my new toy) that Amazon has the Incredible for $99. Yikes.

As mentioned before, in music, set as ringtone, then edit ringtone to use Ringtone Trimmer
