Hey everyone,
Got my Incredible yesterday. Was actually at home when the Fedex guy came. Met him at the end of the sidewalk with daughter in hand waiting for it. After charging, about 2 hours, my daughter and I played with it and set it up last night. First Android. My wife actually laughed because I rebuffed her advances, have a 10 month old (so it is rare), because I wanted to play with the phone instead. Getting this Phone WAS NOT Anti-climactic for me as it was for others.

First Impressions - Blazing fast. Really wants to make me light all blackberrys on fire and not piss on the to put them out. Light, Does NOT feel cheap. Like the functionality of the camera and all the different scenes you can select (Sepia, B&W, etc).
-Love the interface and functionality although not exactly sure what I am going to do with all those extra screens.
- Downloaded a few apps and surfed the web. WOW!!!!

- For those looking to turn Optical joystick into unlock/lock function I believe it was LockBot that does that.

- ? Since I am new to Android, Is there a special app that is needed to take snap shot of barcode and get something downloaded? Any explanations would be helpful.

-By the way, several iPhone users are very jealous and one MotoDroid user was jealous too.

can any0ne tell me where i can find the notification or ringtone that the moto droid has for my incredible? the one that sounds like a laser or a cricket? thanks.

I found if I swype down starting above the screen i don't that problem anymore.
 
Just saw the Droid Incredible commercial I posted in the official thread on TV during Bones on Fox. Was already DVRing Bones anyway, bonus.:)
 
how the heck do you set a custom alert-- like for voicemail, text, etc?

My battery life has been mint... charged it over night (12 hours) and i've been playing with it all day (thats what she...) and it still says half left? been on for 12 hours solid now.
 
I was surprised today had NO Verizon ads and NO comments from Mosberg, Pugh or Baig.
Perhaps they're gauging reaction of people like us before pumping it.

I mentioned that a couple posts ago as well and earlier today looking through the thread at the top of the page was a banner add for the Incredible. Makes sense to me, if the online demand was as high as they're saying it is (running out of stock already), wait until those are taken care of, then advertise it and try and get the everyday Joe into buy one. No sense spending money until you have to.:)
 
So was taking a study break and playing with Incredible. I have the HTC Mail Widget setup for my gmail and school accounts. Anyway, if you were to take a shown message you can throw it up and it will display the next message without having to open each one individually via the traditional inbox. Very Cool.

What cool tricks has anyone else found?

Reports are out that Froyo is coming end of May. It is my understanding that Android updates for HTC phones with Sense (Eris) are still pending. Does anyone think this will be a problem for the DI or is the ERis issue b/c 1.5/1.6 to 2.1 was a massive change and hence the delay and nothing to do with sense.

The Verizon store now shows that orders for the Incredible will ship by 5/7 (it was 5/4).
 
Has anyone seen any twitter apps that display images? My work iphone has a million but I can't seem to find one from the droid marketplace...
 
Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought Anon confirmed via the Verizon pic that we were going to be able to connect to wirless (WiFi) n. I have an n router and it doesn't see that portion of the router. Any thoughts?
