Help Droid Incredible. Rebooting and Restoring a Backup

Droid Incredible. So many problems. Please help!
The Droid Incredible was the best phone I've ever owned. I love this phone and it kills me to suffer through the problems I've been having.

Here's a summation of what has happened:

About 4-5 months ago I've been having some problems where the phone would restart for no reason. At first I thought it was a heat or battery issue. It would reboot anytime i was using it for more than 3 minutes.

I bought the Seidio extended battery to try and solve the issue. And I've always wanted it anyway, so I thought I might kill two birds with one stone. It didn't solve the rebooting issues.

So then I turned to root. I rooted the device, and I currently have it S-Off. That didn't solve the rebooting issues either.

I then tried a custom ROM. I first tried Cyanogen 7, but I didn't like it. It also didn't solve the rebooting issues. I wanted my sense back so I tried Skyraider next. That was the ROM I had on until today.

I contacted HTC support and they wanted me to boot the phone into safemode to see if that stopped the rebooting. And it did!...for the most part. I used the phone successfully for an entire day in safemode without a single reboot. That reminded me how amazing this phone is. But the restarts came back after a day. It seems like the phone only restarts when there is a very weak signal. Or no signal at all.

HTC wanted me to send the phone in for repairs. I don't want to spend the money.

So I decided to go back to the stock ROM. I followed [How To] Downgrade to official 2.2 - Android Forums this to get it back to stock.

Here's my second problem: I did a factory reset of the stock ROM to see if something was wrong with my internal phone storage. Now I can't boot into recovery. Well, I can...but I get the "Red triangle with exclamation point." volume up + power button brings up a menu, but there is no option to restore from a backup.

(TLDR So here are my two questions:

1. How the f**&@ do I get this thing to stop rebooting? I've tried everything I can think of other than sending it in.

2. How do I get my recovery working again? I want to restore a backup of my ROM before I installed Cyanogen.

Thanks for your help.

You unrooted, therefore you don't have clockwork anymore to restore backups. You have to reroot.

Rebooting can only be software or hardware related. So if your phone reboots on any rom without any apps that you've installed, then it's a hardware issue. You may be able to try different rom/kernel/radio combinations but probably won't help.

I'm not unrooted. When I do a power + vol down I still says S-OFF.

I'm convinced this is a hardware issue. Yesterday it did it's usual rebooting but instead of coming back, I got a black screen, 5-vibrations, and a blinking green light.

Pulled the battery, let it sit, rebooted and it's been on ever since in safemode.

S-off doesn't mean you are rooted, just means your bootloader is unlocked. The method you mentioned above, removes superuser from your phone and puts back on the stock recovery (red triangle). You'd either have to use unrevoked again, or manually install clockwork and superuser if you want root access.
