Help DROID LED Indicator

HI All

Is there a way to make the DROID LED Flash when you get a new VoiceMail or Missed call. It seems to work/flash when you get a new Email or TXT so I thought maybe it could do the same for the above???

Trying to get all the functions that I like from my BlackBerry Storm on the DROID...just a learning curve I'm sure. :) Great Phone So Far!!!
Thanks!!

Some apps have settings for notifications and you can choose whether to flash the LED or not.

There's also a cool app called 'Missed Call' that allows you to customize notifications (including LED flash) based on different events.

I asked around with some of my co-workers, they weren't able to find anything, either :(

When it came to the LED light, this is something that Motorola really wanted consumers to have customization over. I'm shocked that I am not able to find it. I will look into this issue further and update this thread if I find any information.

on hello aim, you can select what colors you want the LED to be, i used blue and cyan. has anyone ventured into changing the colors yet?

Is there a way to change the color of a specific notification? like right now both texts and emails for me blink green, I'd like to switch one of them. How do i do that?

If you use the handcent sms messenger app (which i highly recommend) you can find a led color setting in notification settings. This will make it flash whatever color you chose for a text. The app blink also works too.

Blink has issues in 2.2 - tried it. Not very good reviews.

Missed Call USE to work - all busted in 2.2, even his "new" version can't do custom color for missed calls like it use to

Handcent still works for SMS/MMS custom lED color in 2.2

gMail Notifier for gMail's has custom LED color in 2.2
Calendar Notifier for calendar events can do custom LED color in 2.2

Missed Call works for me now. It just randomly started to work. I now choose my own LED color and it actually shows up too.

=O

thats a shock. first I've heard of it.

there are 2 versions of Missed Call.. are you running the latest version - Missed Call for Android 2.x - and are you on Froyo 2.2?

I am on Froyo 2.2. I am also running the latest version. Call Service and Battery Service work fine for me.

call service has no details, no screenshots, less than 50 downloads, and 1 3 star rating.. I'll pass :)

btw, why have Missed Call and this Call Service

your lucky you get custom LED in Missed Call. I get my custom tone, but custom LED is 10x more valuable than a custom tone. I also see that many report the LED issue since 2.2.

BTW, what color LED are you getting in Missed Call for missed calls? purple was my choice, no dice.

I dont need an incoming LED call - that is why we have ringtones ;) - but I use (use to use) purple for missed call and now I just get the default green. as do many. which sucks as when I look at the phone and green, it could now be a missed call, Google Talk, or Google Voice. It sucked bad enough not being able to change Google Talk or Google Voice away from stock green, but now with calls it is super irritating.

luck you :)

actually.. no to be honest. duh. normally in the older version it worked right off, so it not working right off in the new version, and others reports in the ratings of it failing, I never considered that. :) but I hold out little hope.

and I know for sure the calendar function is busted, even the dev admits to that and even kind of eludes to the LED issue being an issue by saying "LED notifications for Missed Calls are not possible in Android "Froyo" 2.2. " - so lucky you
