Droid Pro vs Inc 2?

Just curious if anyone here has come from a Droid Pro. I'm currently using an Eris which is starting to give me a little trouble and my upgrade is coming up and I want a world phone so I've narrowed it down to these two phones. Either one would obviously be an upgrade for me at this point and both seem pretty solid (i.e. not hugely buggy and no major hardware issues).

Aside from the obvious differences like MotoBlur vs Sense and Touchscreen vs Physical Keyboard if anyone knows of any functional differences such as overall speed and battery life I'd appreciate the thoughts of anyone who has used both phones. I realize the Pro is probably at EOL and won't see anything past 2.3, but it also currently only costs a penny on Amazon. As evidenced by the fact I still use an Eris, being on the cutting edge isn't my highest priority.

Didn't come from a Pro, but hardware-wise, the Inc 2 is an incremental step more powerful and likely a touch faster than the Pro because of having more RAM (768 vs. 512).

But, these are two REALLY different phones from a user experience point of view, and that's probably going to be your basis for choosing more than anything else.

The pro is blackberry-like, with a physical keyboard and smaller (lower res) screen, while the Inc 2 is iPhone-like, and the focus is obviously the (800x480) 4" screen. It's probably the best LCD screen on any phone carried by Verizon (my opinion).

You should check them both out at a Verizon store; I think you'll figure out fairly quickly which style of UI you're going to prefer, and that will determine which one to pick up.

I ended up just ordering the Inc2 from Costco, only $80 so not a huge expenditure. The nearly free price of the Pro was certainly appealing but I think I want to see what Google does with Ice Cream Sandwich, secretly hoping they do something super cool with my phone interacting with my Xoom. It was kind of just a coin toss, I think I would have been happy with either phone.

ice cream sandwich might be a long ways off for the inc2 as it hasn't even gotten gingerbread yet. but regardless you got a great phone. wouldn't amazon have been cheaper? i thought it was $0.01 on amazon (although maybe that's only a new contract pricing)

I don't expect ice cream sandwich soon, but I don't expect the Pro will get anything past gingerbread so it was a consideration for me. With the Eris I got 1 update to 2.1 and that was it, not the end of the world but it was part of my decision that I'd like more likely updates. Amazon was $99.99 when I bought mine, but the prices fluctuate so best to check multiple sources when someone is buying.
