Help Droid Pulling Email Inconsistently

Turn Droid on, emails come through. After awhile, sometimes, I can go the rest of the day without receiving any emails, knowing I have email. Turn phone off then on, emails come through.

At times I have emails, no notification. Other times I have email notification, no emails.

Per Verizon, after speaking with second tier tech support, I must contact Motorola.

Any solutions?
