Droid rants, raves

I'm aware of picsay but multitouch is very useful on maps and browser when you are looking to just slightly adjust your zoom level.

I know the hourglass does the same thing which is why I said it wasn't a massive deal, I'm more sore that it feels like we got sorta shafted of a feature the world version will have for most likely stupid reasons.

Hopefully the developers will see what an awesome product it is and bring forth a multitude of multi-touch features for us in the near future.

Well I figured I would start this up just as everybody is getting their Droids.

What do you like about the phone?

What don't you like about the phone (software or hardware)?

One thing that have bug me to no end. The slide out keyboard's Search key is located right next to Alt & @ key, 2 keys that I use quit frequently. I have ZERO use for the search key, but I have to learn not to accidentally hit the search key.

I will miss my podcast sync. (V/M!! Please address this quickly!!!)

I actually think the main buzz about this phone, is how many things Verizon and Motorola DID NOT screw up. That in itself is worth praise.

Sticking to the part that I can help you with...Get BeyondPod in the Market. I have all my podcasts syncing through there. My issue though (and really my only serious complaint about this phone) is that I can't get audio through my car Bluetooth. It connects, but I just get no audio, I'm going to pick up an audio jack, and I'll use it that way, but it's going to be annoying to have 2 wires attached to the phone in the car now instead of just the charger.

Rants:
-Syncing to the Mac is horrible, Google apps has very limited support with Address Book, iCal and iTunes (yes you can do it but it's not easy and not natively supported)
-It crashes a lot, sometimes its just apps crashing, others, the whole phone just goes black and needs the battery removed
-The pullout keyboard is horrible (flat keys, off center) and the on screen keyboards aren't quick enough. I can type twice as fast as it can capture so I get a lot of missed letters
-Visual Voicemail costs extra (free on iPhone)
-Limited video support, only supports one codec and getting high bitrate's is a pain. As an animator I need high quality video!!
-The widget are not universally sized/placed. For example, Google search widget is short and top justified, mp3 widget is average size and center justified. Or compare Weather Channel widget size to Calendar widget size, these should be the exact same.
-Only 3 screens available for widgets/apps
-Edit: the sound volumes are all synced. I want my messaging (DROOOOID), ringtone, and alarm clock at different volumes. I didn't wake up the other morning because my ringtone was low but I wanted my alarm loud.

Raves:
-Nice screen resolution
-Google Navigator is awesome (except the Latitude doesn't seem to accurate reflect where my friends are)
-Widgets, love em!
