Help Droid reboots/unresponsive

Yesterday my stock Droid started crashing. It'll reboot itself and work briefly, but is very unresponsive and you can't get very far before it crashes again.

I've tried booting into safe mode but shortly after the "safe mode" text comes up it restarts itself.

I'm currently backing up the mSD card because it seems like a factory restore is called for. I'm not sure what else to try and get in to back up.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Before performing the wipe, do backup the SD Card, then format it. It sounds like the phone is crashing just after scanning your card, if it crashes just after boot. If that doesn't help, then a factory rest may be in order, but post back first with results. We might be able to avoid the reset, and restoring a lot of apps can be a PITA.
