droid return policies?

I was wondering, what is this holiday return policy ive heard of? I bought my droid on dec 23 and might need to exchange it soon, does anybody know what i might encounter?

The holiday return policy was for devices purchased between November 15 & December 14 2009 to be exchanged or returned through January 13 2009.

As you bought your Droid on December 23 and it's now January 27, you're out of your standard 30 day exchange or return period.

Thank you,thats what i thought. If i have a problem with it manufacturers warr.) Is it for sure i will get a refurbished phone? ive seen conflicting answers

I'm not sure, but you would probably get a refurb.

I believe I got one when I exchanged my Droid out side of the "30 days" but before the holiday return period. It came in a white box and used my other Droid's battery and battery cover. There are a couple of cosmetic flaws, but it works perfectly.

Don't be too worried about refurbs. They're generally better than brand new devices since they're inspected in more detail. My wife bought a refurbished Apple Powerbook a few years ago and has no problems with it.
