They do now. I just downloaded 2.15 for Mac, running under Snow Leopard, works perfectly.

Is there a version of PDAnet or another alternative that will work under Linux? I'd like to tether occasionally when I'm in remote areas away from any wifi, but there's no way in hell I'm going to use windows or mac

They do now! I can't wait to get home today.

I have the Alltel aircard with unlimited usage for $60 a month. I have my contract with them for another year. It's BS that verizon buys out Alltel and doesn't offer the same plans. So tethering of my wifes Droid and my Droid Eris (taking turns) sounds like a plan to me.
