Hi,

I'm new to the forums and trying to do some research before i get my next smart phone. I'm leaning towards getting the Thunderbolt when it gets released for Verizon. I am currently using a blackberry but was wondering how long is the learning curve to learn how to use the an android phone and also what sets it apart from wp7 and an iphone? your feedback is appreciated, thanks for your help.

Thousands of comparisons if ya search around. From carrying a BB then an android, took me about ten minutes to fall in love. Don't get me wrong if you need a workhorse for email and phone calls BB is fantastic. If you want to entertain yourself android will have you chucking that berry in no time.

Some of the new WinMo phones look pretty sweet, and Microsoft is playing nice with the dev community to boot. You'll get a hit with WinMo phones, because app developers have been whacked by MS a bit too often, and get skittish about making apps.

No way I would get a WinMo phone. I was hung out to dry by Microsoft when I got my new Windows 7 computer and Office 2010 (64 bit). I was on WinMO 6.5 with my Omnia at the time. Could not sync my Outlook stuff to my phone anymore like I could with WinXP and Outlook 2003. Microsoft said they would not be supporting that. Made me mad. No Microsoft next time. Can't depend on them to support what they have out there when the next thing comes along. Switched to Android and after a small learning curve I am ecstatic! Next PC time it's Linux or (Arrggghhh---Apple).
