I have a problem with Black Glass and 2.2.430, I hope someone can give me some insight:
I got my DroidX and installed Black Glass. I used Visionary, installed Titanium Backup FREE, and installed Black Glass. After I did this, I removed the bloatware like Blockbuster Video, CityID, VerizonNavigator, etc...I did this with Titanium Backup using BACKUP and then UNINSTALL.
Now I try to do an OTA update and 2.2.430 DOWNLOADS, but fails to install. I've been reading about this and it seems that this may be because of the removed bloatware, but I don't see how to restore the apps using Titanium Backup....the apps are all listed at the bottom of the list with a line through them, but I don't see an option to RESTORE them when I select them. If I look in the Titanium Backup program backup folder on the SDCard, I see the apps there in .TAR format, and the archive contains the removed app.
How can I restore apps, and does this HAVE to happen in order to be able to process the update?
ALSO: On a fresh new DroidX, I DID the 2.2.430 update, then I installed Visionary and rooted, installed bootstrapper and backed up, and after the backup I tried to install BlackGlass....and never got past the "M" on startup, I never even got the droid EYE. Rebooting to bootstrap recovery and restoring got me back up and running. Has anyone successfully installed BlackGlass on a system already running 2.2.430? After the restore everything was OK and I was still rooted.
Any insight to these issues is greatly appreciated, thanks!
