Help Droid X 2.3 update fail, help please.

Hi everyone,

I tried to update my Droid X from 2.2 to 2.3 and a day later a message popped up saying it failed. I have removed maybe three apps, blockbuster being one of them. Is there any other way to get this update if you have removed bloatware?

I dont think that is the cause.. I am in the same boat as you (along with tons of other people) and there is a variety of different users there, some who have never done anything with their phone beyond what is supposed to be done with it and they have the same problem. I wish I could figure out a solution but Im content with my current version.

Removing apps IS a cause of failed updates.

Hopefully you created a backup before willy-nilly uninstalling stuff?

Check out the root section where others are complaining about the same thing.

Sounds like you need to install RSD Lite 4.8 and flash the proper SBF.
