Help Droid X 720p video playback?

I tried a test video file for the droid x, an mp4 with h264 1280x720 video, ac3 384kbps audio about 584 megabytes in size and it would not play it back. What video settings have you guys gotten to work? I thought the droid x could playback 720p, do I have to convert all my videos to 854x480?

I was able to play h264 encoded videos at 720p on several test encodes. I couldn't get it play back any .wmv files at a resolution greater than 852x480 however.

What I think is the problem for you is the ac3 audio. Try AAC stereo and see if it works. For whatever reason I was unable to get any video files that contained audio with more than 2 channels to play. I am planning to conduct more tests tomorrow.

Are you having any luck converting h264 video files with ac3 audio to AAC? Even handbrake is not allowing audio conversion in my 720p video files, which is the only thing holding me back from watching very good videos on my X

any help would be awesome

thanks

Try ripbot264 instead of Handbrake.. It works a lot better.
