Help Droid X and Computers with 32 or 64 bit OS

Will my Droid X connect to either 32 or 64 bit OS's? Or does it work best with one or the other? Which one?

The reason I'm asking is I have an old dinosaur XP 32 bit Computer that I've had since 2002, but it's getting close to the end. I just purchased a desktop replacement alienware Win7 64 bit laptop. Should I keep the XP machine limping along because it works with my Droid X, or will the "X" play nice with my new Win7 64 bit laptop?

Any tips or insight will be appreciated, thanks.

I've had no issues on my windows xp system. I have only run into one issue on my Windows 7 64bit system, which is not really a phone issue as much as I cant get RSD to recognize the sbf file to flash back to 2.1... Its works fine on xp but I cant get it to work on win7... but again, I wouldn't call that a phone issue as much as a program issue.

The fix for a lot of broken things in Vista or Win7 is to right-click on them and "run as administrator".

ive had no problem with XP or Win7/64. The Vista box didnt play well when I moved back to 2.1 this week but when did Vista ever do what you wanted it to do when you wanted it to do it?

I use 32 bit Vista Business at work and Win7 x64 Ultimate at home. Prior to that I had Vista x64 Ultimate at home. They all do what I want them to do and well.

The Droid X will work with Windows 7, however apparently Verizon still does not have a 64 bit Windows 7 compatible version of Media Manager if you planned to use that.

Motorola Media Link does work fine in 64-bit Win 7 though so that's an alternative. I haven't downloaded the Verizon app but it looks very similar.
