Help Droid X Apex Rom help Please.

Newbie
Hi all,

I have a rooted Droid X ver 2.3.15 and I am using rom manager to try and install the rom. It reboots the phone but then the phone boots right back up like normal with no changes. Am I overlooking something? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott..

What version of Apex are you installing? Why haven't you updated to .340 yet?

Apex 1.3.1 is for .340 only.

You need to have recovery installed, then tap the top button to activate it. (You'll see superuser prompt and "success".) Then you can install a rom thru RM.

Some people have complained about RM being a bit flaky lately, but I haven't had an issue.

BTW, you should be able to install Apex without clearing the cache/resetting when coming from stock. Then you'll still have data.

Have you created a backup of stock yet? You'll need that for the next OTA.

Are you rushing things a bit?

What he said. You should always make backups before any ROMs/themes or any changes that could potentially mess up your phone. It's much easier to spend the 2 min making a backup than 20 min playing with RSD lite and starting from scratch.

I am having the same problem with ROM Manager. Just use Bootstrap to install the rom. Do you have the free version of ROM Manager or paid version?
