Hi, bought my Droid X last September 2010 and its been having pretty good battery life till recently. I updated my system (about phone/ system updates) and since then battery drain is terrible. ex: charged it /let it sit overnight/battery down to 50% next morning...ugh) I am now turning off the BT/Wifi/GPS). Heard there was a software bug wGPS ????

Any suggestions

if you were rooted, i would say charge the battery to 100% and wipe the battery cache in clockword recovery

however since your not, it could be a problem wtih the battery and it may need to be replaced

factory reset would correct battery drainage, however i do believe the battery need to be replaced, its possible you have a dead cell in it, or the simple fact its been burned out too much (ie: constantly on the charger, drained in under 6 hours of use)
once the batteries life begins to fade, it will get worse and worse, i would advise replacing the battery, have you gotten the phone wet at all? that may also have an impact on it

Factory reset is step one. Battery replacement can come after that. If you read his post you would see it started after he upgraded.

I'm curious, do you have the Weather Channel app? I only ask this because I had ZERO battery issues until I installed that app and the battery went to the craphouse thereafter for a few days. I uninstalled the Weather Channel app and I'm back to normal battery usage.
