When you get a Droid X are you supposed to train it? (drain, charge, drain, charge) Or are you not supposed to do that anymore with lithium-ion batteries?
Yes and no. Lithium Ion batteries do not suffer from battery memory so you don't have to train them. But for some reason the battery meter sometimes needs to calibrate itself to the battery. So a few good charge ups followed by a full drain wouldn't hurt initially.
Doing a full drain once every few weeks followed by a full charge is worthwhile. Aside from that, there's really not much that's needed. As jreed said, lithium-ion batteries don't have a memory effect.
