Help Droid X, first time droid user

Hey everyone, I am a first time droid user here, I just came from the awful Blackberry. I got the Droid X and I love it so far, but I am trying to find out what are the most necessary applications to get? I am overwhelmed here haha

i'm so lost here and i even considered myself pretty tech savvy with computers but i guess having an EnV2 for 2 and a half years has hindered my phone tech skills
i was wondering what you guys are running that gets your homepage to have the big digital clock in the left and the google search right under it? i'm mad there's no big clock on mine
